Fiyero is almost mine!

So I went down to see that cute sorrel QH again on Wednesday. I rode him western, which was different but really fun! He was yet again such a good boy and put up with my lack of western experience like a gem :) SO, I put my deposit down on him and if all goes well he'll be arriving at my barn Sunday! I'm psyched, he's really a nice horse and EXACTLY what I've been searching for, so *knock on wood* everything goes smoothly!!

The horse hunt continues...

So I went to see this horse for sale on Sunday and he was AWESOME to ride. He has some ground manners issues, like he doesnt want to be contained, he likes to explore and be horse ADD, but all that can be worked with easily. The important thing is he's amazing to ride, wonderful trot and can do a great western jog, smooooooth canter. I'm really liking him, so I'm going to see him again tonight and if all goes well again, I'm going to give her a deposit. Freddie says I can move into the stall Feb 1st. If I do buy him, I'm going to name him Fiyero after the character in Wicked :) Watch these vids of me and Fiyero:

Carpe Diem

For the first time in my life I am living in the now, the present, I am CARPE DIEM!!! My main focus at the moment isn't the future, not tomorrow but today! Of course the future is always there in my mind, but I've decided to truly embrace and enjoy the present. I decided to get a horse. I've missed having my own horse for SO long and its about time. Its a bit of a stretch financially, but it will be worth it. I can't wait to find my next best friend <3

Penetration of a twisted mind...

Wow, soooo to catch up since I last wrote... a LOT has happened. In June, I started a job at a design firm called CMYK+White. I was there 2 weeks, but during those 2 weeks i got sick and missed a day of work, the next day the trains were running 2 hours behind. SO, needless to say I was "asked to leave" after 2 weeks... mucho lamo, but I REALLY hated the job, hated working for ass-hole Koreans, and that commute to the city was KILLING me, seriously! I was unemployed for a week (the week of my birthday actually :) and by the following monday had a new job at winebasket.com / babybasket.com as their graphic designer. I LOVE my job here, I maintain their websites, take all the photos of the baskets, retouch the photos, and design their catalogs. It's totally up my ally. I also started leasing a horse, his name is Jack. I started giving Becca riding lessons on him.

Things with Derek have progressed. I'm in love with him, but I haven't told him yet... We're basically inseperable, he means the world to me, and I truly dont know what I was doing before I met him. We talk about the future, but I also want to take things day by day and enjoy every moment. We're going into the city this weekend to buy Halloween costumes and stuff, probably get sushi on St. Marks, and bubble tea!!! I've started going to concerts with Derek also. We've gone to Sonata Artica/Nightwish and Helloween/Gamma Ray. Next week we're going to see EdGuy/Kamelot at BB Kings, then in November, we're seeing Buckethead. He's introduced me to so much great music, you wouldnt even believe it. We're both seriously looking forward to the holidays this year, they're going to be extra special <3

You cut me open and I... keep bleeding love.

SO, this past week has been one of the best in a REALLY long time :) Last Tuesday, I finally met Derek after we've been talking for over 2 months, we just totally click, we have the same mentality, sense of humor, and common sense. He's just amazing, I feel so comfortable with him, and cuddling and kissing him ;) So on Tuesday, we were supposed to go for Derek to get the tattoo I designed for him, but Danny (the tat artist) was sick, so we just went out to dinner and then watched some TV at my house. Wednesday I went to see MacBeth on Broadway with my friend Anthony, it was really intense and the star was Patrick Stewart (from Star Trek and X-men). Thursday night I met up with Eric for dinner, we went to this hole in the wall sushi restaurant on St Marks Pl. BTW my new obsession is St. Marks Pl..... its like the coolest street ever! Then we had bubble tea <3 Friday, I went out dancing with Marie. We tried to go to Bliss, but it was closed for some private sweet 16 party... wtf? Anyway so we went to Coco Bongo and I think Marie really enjoyed it, except she wore totally brutal shoes that were KILLING her by the end of the night. She even danced a little salsa with a few strange Spanish men ;) Saturday I drove out to see Derek and we watched the Planet Earth BBC Documentary, i was totally awesome on Bluray. We also watched 50 First Dates and Groomer Has It. Mostly just cuddled and talked. I ended up staying over because by the time we realized what time it was, it was 3am and i had an hour drive ahead of me, so we both felt it would be *safer* if i stayed ;) Waking up in his arms is an awesome feeling :D <3 Then I drove home on Sunday and went to lunch with Gail, Gram and Uncle Steve to Charlie Brown's, it was gooood! Monday we had a Memorial Day BBQ and Derek came and met the whole mob. Everyone really liked him, and he wasnt too freaked out by my family, which is good :P Later on we took the train into the city and went to Gotham Comedy Club, it was really fun, it was Derek's first comedy club, he enjoyed it! Yesterday I just had work and stuff, boring, but I was still recovering from the awesomeness of the weekend ;) Tonight, Derek is coming over after I get home from work, can't wait :D Tomorrow night, Nora is taking the train into the city to meet up with me and Eric, which should be awesome, i miss her!! Then Friday, we're finally going for Derek's tattoo and then later to Fish n Booze for their closing party where he can meet Nik and that crew! Saturday, I think I'm driving to PA to visit Derek at work and then we're going to go Mini Golfing and for sushi, then movies and cuddles!! Wow, real life is gooooood ;)

So Graduation was on Friday and it was a really shitty day as far as weather, but graduation was fun :) Sat with Chris and it was fun to watch this girl bug the shit out of him the whole time, tho it would've been more fun just to chill with Chris, haha. After graduation I saw Eric and Sean in the sea of people in the lobby, agreed to see both very soon!  Later, we went to The Rainbow Room for dinner. Everyone's food was great except mine (figures) it was chicken marsala but it was all dark meat and nasty. So of course, Aunt Cheryl got it taken off the bill lol. Later we were in traffic for a while trying to get home, but Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Jimmy's train was 2 hours delayed :-/ sucky...

wow, srsly?

So the past few days have been literally insane. Thursday I went over Chris's house to help him print his portfolio. Basically when I got there at 10 he was still designing and comping stuff... So he asked me to work on binding his one book. It was "101 Reasons to Jump" basically a book of all the fucked up things in our world today, it was hilarious. So i spent the day taping that together. Then i left and brought Gadget to her graduation from Puppy Kindergarten :) She passed her test, she was such a good girl! Then i headed back to Jersey City to print with Chris. *flash to 3AM* We had one page printed and there was the serious thought that he wouldn't have a portfolio to hand in... His printer had totally crapped out and InDesign kept closing and it was like a nightmare that neither of us could wake up from. So as a last resort, we took off for my house. He was converting all his pages to outlines in the car on the way there, lol! Finally we got to my house and somehow finished at 5:30 AM. Then we caught the 6:58 train that miraculously went straight to Penn. Walked across town like zombies and handed in the portfolios. Then ate some breakfast at this diner across the street called the Gemini Diner... good luck ;) Then we walked all the way from east 33rd to Union sq. on 14th st. Not sure how we made it... He tried to get GTA4 or something but they were sold out, so we caught the 6 down to WTC Path and got back to his place by like 11. I fell asleep on the couch for a few hours off and on, then we made our way back to portfolio review to pick them up. I finally caught a train home around 6, got Chinese food and passed out around 10. I was up 48 hours for Chris, he owes me... BIG! lol

Home stretch!!

Well the past few days have been pretty crazy. Gram and everyone git back from Disney on Saturday. They brought me back a Remi from Ratatoulli, haha! Uncle Steve is doing better with his knee, he's driving again. I've been up to my eyeballs in work. Portfolio is due Friday, then FREEDOM!!! This truly is hell week, i can't wait for it to be over :D Today I stayed home from yoga class and am printing my portfolio. It's coming out really nice! Later today I'm going in to show G my portfolio mock up.

Allergies.... SUCK

So my seasonal allergies have finally kicked in :-/ They are so miserable, but it will be over soon, hopefully. I have an arsenal of eye drops and Benedrill! LOL. Yesterday I had work, then went to Feminism class, but Gregg and Pete's class was canceled. Christian picked me up in Newark and then we went to Red Lobster, it was really good, I had a Bahama Mama. Their bar is actually really good for a chain restaurant. So the plan for today is just work on redesigning my portfolio site. Then we have puppy training later for Miss Gremlin Girl, haha!

I had a dream about Poppy last night. dreaming about him always comforts me. It was a weird dream tho, we were driving in his truck and he turned and cut someone off and got pulled over my a cop and the stupid cop was trying to put him in a nursing home. So he spun around and we drove off to come warehouse so he could switch trucks or something. It was just nice to spend some time with him in my dreams. I kept telling him how much I love him. I believe he visits me in my dreams :)
